I've devoted my life to understanding how people learn.

For two decades, I had the privilege of learning alongside children in elementary classrooms, middle schools, college lecture halls, and now one-on-one with families. While every student was different, one thing remained beautifully consistent: children are naturally curious. They want to learn, make sense of the world, and share what they discover with the people they love.

The moments that stayed with me weren't always the lessons I taught.

They were the moments outside the lesson.

The most important learning doesn't happen only in a classroom.

It happens around the dinner table, during bedtime stories, on walks through the neighborhood, while baking cookies, playing card games, asking questions in the grocery store, and working through challenges together.

As I worked more closely with families, I realized something else: parents weren't looking for more worksheets, educational apps, or the newest teaching strategy. They wanted to understand how their children learn. They wanted to support their growth without sacrificing the relationship they cherished most.
